The San Francisco 49ers wide receiver, who has been on the team for four years, said he’s bisexual.
“That’s one of my favorite words,” he said.
“It’s been a part of me since I was 12 years old,” he told reporters. “
It’s been a part of me since I was 12 years old,” he told reporters.
“My girlfriend, I know she’s not going to tell anybody, but I have a boyfriend, and I do believe in him and he loves me.”
Durant said he doesn’t know who his partner is, but he does think he’s the one with the same name.
“We’re not gay.
We’re not together,” he explained.
What are we trying to accomplish?’ “
Sometimes when you’re in a relationship, you’re kind of like, ‘Well, what are we doing here?
And if you are the one that’s feeling rejected, you have to understand that you’re not the only one.” “
You just don’t want to be there for a person who doesn’t want you around.
And if you are the one that’s feeling rejected, you have to understand that you’re not the only one.”
Durant was asked if he felt more alone when he was with his girlfriend than he did with his father, who was also gay.
“Yeah, I definitely felt more isolated,” Durant said, smiling.
“But that’s just the nature of the beast.”
“A couple of people who know me and have known me since my younger years have told me that they think I’m really gay.”
Durant admitted he’s still unsure about his sexual orientation, but added he has “never had any issues” with his teammates.
“There are people out there that I can go to and talk to, but when I’m on the field, I’m a different person.
I’m not a normal person.”
Durant added he would like to be a part-time player, but said he has no interest in doing so. 8.
“In some ways, I feel like I’m still in a very strange place.
It’s not something that happens for me.”
Breida added that he would love to have a girlfriend, but doesn’t think he has the experience to find one.
So I don of course hope that someday I can be in a position where I can meet a woman and have a baby,” he added.
“Being bisexual is something I don ‘t have to deal with.”
Durant joked that his teammates might be surprised that he was “not interested in being married to a woman.”
He added he hasn’t told his girlfriend of his orientation.
“Honestly, I didn’t even think about it until recently,” he joked.
“Some of the other players are asking me to go into the locker room and kiss them, but no, I have no interest.”
Durant, who’s been the face of the 49er team since 2015, said the only time he has kissed someone was during training camp in 2014, when he shared a kiss with receiver Quinton Patton.
“All I’m asking for is that they give me their full respect, but they know that I’m just a football player, not a sexual person.”
The 49ers offensive coordinator, Chip Kelly, said Breida would be a great addition to his team.
“Matt is a player that we really respect and a player with an extraordinary talent that we want to see grow and improve and be an integral part of our team,” Kelly said.
“He’s a player who has the talent to be an outstanding NFL player, he’s a guy that we’ve seen time and time again grow and develop into a great player and an important part of the football team.
He’s a great example for all of us that the game of football has always been about the team, and Matt will help us get to the next level.”
Durant’s teammate, Breida has been asked a number of questions about his sexuality in the past.
On Thursday, the star wide receiver took to Twitter to answer the same question, saying he was just joking.
“For those who have asked me if I am bi, no I am not,” he wrote.
