Manoj Panchal hit back with his second of the season to help Roma beat UDinese 2 1 in the Champions League final on Tuesday night.

The 22-year-old scored in the 71st minute after he had previously set up Nuri Sahin’s goal.

Roma are now in first place in Serie A, three points clear of Juventus.

Udinese’s Giampaolo Sannino scored twice in the first half before Gudopan put the hosts ahead after the break.

The midfielder, who moved to Udinese in the summer, was one of several Roma players to make a big impact for the Nerazzurri, with Gudampan also making his debut.

Rome are still in the hunt for the Serie A title and the Nerazurri are currently fourth in Serie B. Udine beat Fiorentina 4-0 on Monday to reach the semi-finals.
